The Beverwijk quay has enabled us to offer alternative transport solutions, such as for wood shipments. In Scandinavia, there was a significant demand for B-grade wood for energy recovery through combustion, supporting district heating systems in Swedish cities. However, the supplier for this project was not located near a port, and transporting the wood by container or walking floor directly to Sweden was not the most efficient option logistically.<\/p>\n
By utilizing the Beverwijk quay, the wood could be transported domestically to
\nthe quay and then shipped by sea to the Swedish buyer.<\/p>\n
